WDVF Domestic Abuse training continues online

Wolverhampton Domestic Violence Forum have developed some shortened versions (1 hour) of their fantastic training programme in order to help and support families and professionals in the current situation. These sessions are being delivered using Microsoft Teams and Skype.

Being aware of domestic abuse and being able to respond safely to victims is now more important for professionals than ever because of the raised risks and challenges that COVID 19 restrictions and self isolation are bringing for families where relationships include domestic violence and abuse.

WDVF training sessions are currently being delivered free of charge, and very flexibly in terms of when (days and evenings), where (different communications platforms), and how they are delivered - as either single agency or multi-agency sessions.

Topics for training include relevant pathways and risk assessments and the CoVID 19 responses: Domestic violence; Coercive controlling behaviour; Sexual violence and abuse; Forced marriage and honour based violence; FGM; Modern Day Slavery; Stalking and Harassment.
