Working Together - Safeguarding Children and Young People

Target Workforce -

• Designated safeguarding leads, Designated Child Protection Lead, Named Nurse, Lead Nurse, Named Person, Designated Lead and anyone who take lead responsibility in an organisation for safeguarding children, young people and their families.
• Those involved in engaging with families as part of early help, assessments or support services but may not take the role of DSL. 

Learning Outcomes:

 Discuss how to demonstrate professional curiosity and a questioning stance in practice with children and families

Encourage knowledge and confidence to help strengthen their ability to work together effectively with other agencies to safeguard children and young people.

—To be able to identify, assess and articulate the impact of risk on the child.

—To demonstrate how the child’s voice, wishes and feelings are visible throughout the safeguarding process.

—To recognise and respond appropriately to barriers and challenges posed within the multi-agency safeguarding arena
