Section 42 Investigations

Aimed at:

 

For health, social care, provider agencies, care homes, schools (with learners over 18) and voluntary organisations.

For frontline workers and managers who undertake, are “caused to undertake” or contribute to Safeguarding Adult Enquiries (Section 42, Care Act 2014).

 

Outcomes:

 

We will consider the legal context of adult safeguarding, the Care Act 2014 and developing legal literacy

Local and Regional Safeguarding Policies

Understand the responsibilities of each organisation in contributing to or leading a Safeguarding Adult Enquiry

Making Safeguarding Personal (MSP)

Making an Enquiry – what does “good” look like

How to gather information and meet outcomes

 

We will have discussion and learning across sectors and use case studies to implement our learning with each other. PowerPoint handouts will be provided.
