West Midlands Regional Multi-agency Policy and Procedures and Practice Guidance

Wolverhampton's Safeguarding Partnership has adopted the West Midlands Multi-agency Policy and Procedures for the Protection of Adults with Care and Support Needs.

West Midlands Regional Policies and Procedures for the Protection of Adults with Care and Support Needs

All of the West Midlands Regional Policies and Procedures are hosted on the Safeguarding Warwickshire website on behalf of all the West Midlands Safeguarding Adults Boards. This includes:

  • Main Regional Policy and Procedures document;
  • The best Practice Guidance on Self-Neglect; and
  • The Guidance on Safeguarding Adult Reviews.

The policy and procedures were implemented in April 2015 and reflects the changes in the Care Act 2014. The policy and procedures operate on a multi-agency basis across the West Midlands area, thereby ensuring consistency of responses and a common approach to safeguarding. The West Midlands Policy and Procedures have been produced in consultation with health and social care representatives as well as representatives from partner agencies.

Report Adult Abuse

If you suspect someone is being abused call us on 01902 551199 during normal hours or 01902 552999 for emergency out of hours. If immediate action is needed call 999.

It is better to report abuse over the phone so that our officers can take the necessary information, you can report abuse anonymously by telephone.

Normal hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30 am - 5.00 pm, Friday 8.30 am - 4.00 pm with emergency out of hours operating outside of these times.

You can also report abuse using our Safeguarding Adult Concern and Notification form. All fields will need to be completed as we may need to get in touch with you for further details. It is not advisable to make an anonymous report using this form.
