WSCB outlines its role to learn lessons from the recent tragic death of a 2 year old from Wednesfield.
Many people will have read something of the tragic death of two year old Jeremiah Regis and the arrest of his parents. Whenever such terrible events occur we are horrified and want to know what happened and why.
While it is much too early to decide if anything could have been done to avoid Jeremiah's death, I can categorically state now that both myself and all Wolverhampton Safeguarding Children Board partners are committed to learning all we can from the circumstances of Jeremiah's death in relation to how we can work better together to prevent a similar tragedy from happening again in the city.
