The National Trading Standards, Friends Against Scams initiative has been running for 4 years, and there is a push to encourage as many friends, family and colleagues to take part in the on-line training on offer via their website.
The initiative aims to protect and prevent people from becoming victims of scams by empowering people to take a stand against scams. So far they have over half a million people who have completed the free 20 minutes on line awareness session, which highlights the way scammers operate.
